Another mermaid based premise Takashi and I were working when he died far too young. Mermaid pirates driven by a Robin Hood-like philosophy. Perhaps to be combined with MerForce Ten.

Grandpa Dozer, a bulldozer with a chronically bad back. One of the Hauler family who star in Little Mac & The Big Wheel Crew. Another idea that went a long way down the road before falling in the face of Bob The Builder, Thomas The Tank Engine and many similar shows.

Yet another mermaid-themed show Takashi and I were thinking about, this one obviously for a much younger audience. We loved the Gifted Mermaid theme, which was inspired by one of the most important people in my life, the original Gifted Mermaid.

Meet Jangle the Evil Maestro who stole musicians’ shadows to form his own underground orchestra. From an animated theatrical movie, a European co-production. Some wonderful original ideas revolving around the myths and archetypes of shadows but in the end torpedoed by the too many cooks syndrome.

The late and legendary Takashi, whose immense talent and friendship I so miss, and I worked on a whole raft of mermaid and fantasy sea creatures premises. MerForce Ten saw mermaids with guns (!) protecting the seas and therefore the world.

Another idea Takashi and I were playing around with… riders and bikes integrated as single bio-mechanical beings. The look and action somewhat inspired by the incomparable animated Ghost In The Shell. The MiniBike beings dominate the streets while dragons rule the skies.
